Welcome All to 2021 – It should have been the year that set us back on track to face mask free fun, but instead, we find ourselves back to lockdown and home working, so this safe & socially distanced catch up comes to you with hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and an Easter that brings us some normality.

For MarXtar 2020 was an interesting year, we were very proud to announce at the beginning of the year that we joined Ivanti’s Elite Partner programme, the only UK business to do this. After meeting Elite-partner criteria to directly deliver Ivanti professional services for Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Enterprise Service Management (ESM) solutions, MarXtar was named Elite, Ivanti’s highest Service Delivery Partner level.  Stuart Robson-Frisby Director, EMEA Channel Sales at Ivanti said at the time.

Throughout the year we found ourselves incredibly busy supporting our customers with their IT needs and with our additional responsibilities as an Elite partner, but I am pleased to say that our team were incredible and worked long and hard to make sure deadlines and requirements were met. We found that ISEC (Ivanti Security Controls) became a top priority for most of our customers with workforces working remotely.  Ivanti Security Controls can be rapidly implemented as built-in cloud capabilities as well as focussed Virtual Server patching capabilities so these quick powerful and easy patch management fixes for companies’ security controls were a top ask.

At the end of 2020 we were also proud to announce that we became a partner of MobileIron who provide cutting-edge Enterprise Mobile Management and Mobile Device Management technologies. MobileIron are also a Gartner magic quadrant leader and does too much to even begin to explain in this update so contact us if you would like to know more about them and how their products could help you.

• Healthcheck Your IT

We recommend this every year, and 2021 should be no exception, if anything its more important than ever. With most workforces now working remotely, and it looks like they will stay that way for the foreseeable, it is important to relook at your IT requirement and reassess the compatibility of your products. • Get the Support You Need

IT departments have historically been small departments or outsourced, but with the ever-changing environment it is important to get support in place for your IT team so they in turn can support your workforce. Whether that’s new equipment, coaching, additional hourly support, or consultancy it’s important to keep this vital department well-oiled so it can move the machine.

• Invest In IT

I know this may seem impossible as most businesses are trying to keep their heads above water, but if you can, invest in the right IT for your company. Keep on top of the patch updates and any upgrades, invest in training or coaching for your staff as once we get through this pandemic, and we will, you will need a strong backbone of IT to keep moving you forward. If the pandemic has shown our industry anything, it is that IT excellence is a necessity for business.
